Under normal conditions, travel expenses that occur in California are not refundable under the CFAA. However, there are unusual situations and an incident commander may authorize certain travel expenses related to a self-help response. All expenses submitted on a travel report must follow the procedures of The CFAA`s Schedule “H” (link to the agreement above). There are no exceptions to the documentation requirements in Figure “H.” Does anyone know what the Forest Service specifically requires to be modified or implemented in this fire season with agreement and billing? CFAA is in effect until December 31, 2019. Not sure how the agreement can be changed before the expiry. This support is possible through a partnership with the State of California with federal firefighting partners called the California Fire Assistance Agreement (CFAA). This agreement was signed on May 1 and is applicable until December 31, 2024. For information on how to apply for the new OES F-42 form, please contact your Regional Deputy Chief Cal OES. A small department, which harasses a large number of IMT members, has the shutdown process. The responders received an email saying they could no longer participate. Another department can be closed in a few weeks. LG Strike teams go to numerous incidents fed as part of the CFAA. It makes no sense if there is a truth.
Maybe it`s time for federal teams to put more federal agents on their teams again. If you look at some of CA`s Type 2 teams, there are almost more LG bodies in these teams than there are federal staff. I`ve heard a lot of federal employees say why being an LG guy on a team while I`ve been trying to get into a team for 3 more years. That`s an honest question. There are tons of LG team members in federal teams, CAL FIRE teams and local Type 3 teams. And it`s not like there`s a shortage of federal volunteer employees. They want to be a team, they fight with people from LG to get those places. In the end, if the SF does not develop it, the Fed R5 IIMTs will be emptied. Type I and Type II teams currently use retirees as assistants and hold many positions in all areas. Hopefully it works before another record of the fire season. The USFS is requesting a major change in the CFAA reimbursement process. Long history, it will lead to the charge of the local Gov for the cost of fighting federal fires until the local government proves to the entity how much it cost his agency to help.
P-p is one of the topics covered by the feds. The people of Washington call the CFAA obsolete when they describe their case as a breach of a contract they signed, and in the same sentence cite a 70-year-old law, why they “only repens the costs incurred.” . The CFAA describes the repayment terms negotiated for local firefighter operations through the California Fire Service and Rescue Emergency Mutual Aid System.
