Will Disney And Sony Come To An Agreement

Creatively, the Sony-Disney deal is just as good for Holland`s race as Spider-Man. Instead of having to avoid all references to the MCU in Homecoming 3, the film can organically lean on the cliffhanger of the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Homes. What`s more, upcoming Sony spin-offs like Morbius now have the rich tradition of Marvel`s shared universe to fall back on instead of having to work separately (and, more specifically, without Spider-Man). Their interactions with the MCU`s Phase 4 shale will likely start quite one-sidedly in Morbius and Venom 2, but subsequent spin-offs (like the mysterious Sony Marvel movie recently scheduled for 2021) have the potential to build on that foundation in more meaningful and nasty ways. It looks like Tom Holland will be Hollywood`s hardest-working superhero thanks to the new deal between Sony and Disney. Kevin Feige`s announcement on Friday alluded to exactly the most important part of the deal. Feige noted that Spider-Man will be the first superhero to be able to work in multiple universes. It`s also a big win for Sony here in the pursuit of a series that will likely give it another $1 billion movie with a distribution fee of 8% or more. In addition, the deal keeps intact the creative controls of Disney Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, who led two of the best and highest-grossing images of Spidey`s $2 billion film canon worldwide. Spider-Man will be free to appear in other solo films and franchises. This means that fans will be able to see cameos of their favorite web shooter in several comics in the coming years. The new deal should ensure that Spidey will appear in Venom 2 to reunite with Eddie Brock. Your friendly Spider-Man neighborhood will remain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for now.

Sony Pictures, which owns the rights to the comic book character, and Walt Disney Studios (the parent company of Marvel Studios) have struck a deal for another Spider-Man movie, with Disney agreeing to pay 25 percent of the film`s cost in exchange for 25 percent of the profits, according to Forbes. Both sides have not closed the door on the “Web-Slinger” who appears in future Marvel “Avengers” movies. The release of the new film is scheduled for July 2021. The initial agreement included five films. Tom Holland`s Spider-Man was introduced in Captain America: Civil War, and then went through a series of popular and well-received superheroes: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Unfortunately, while Holland was personally hired for two more films, this seems to have been the end of the old deal between Marvel and Sony. A new deal had to be struck to keep Spider-Man in the MCU — and at least for a while, that seemed like a distant prospect. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have finally struck a new deal to keep Spider-Man in the MCU, and it`s very different from their previous one. The past few weeks have been a tough time for Spider-Man fans, as the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home has been overshadowed by the apparent end of the Marvel/Sony deal.

For a short time, it seemed that the wall crawler would leave the Marvel Cinematic Universe completely. It makes me wonder if Marvel and Sony have actually struck a new deal. .
